Lofty Ideas
Lofts can be
fabulous and exciting, but somewhat of a challenge when it comes to
designing the interiors to suit your needs. What may seem like a vast
empty space is, in reality, small and difficult to arrange furniture within
to maximize either views, conversations, or both!
Space seems to be at a premium so each design element needs to be as stylish, functional and streamlined as possible. Think of utilizing pieces for more than one use, for example, a sideboard can double as a buffet server at your next dinner party and at the same time house the DVD’s for the plasma screen TV that hangs on the wall above.
You may being using
this space as a second home, or just for parties, either way, it
doesn’t have feel like a fraternity house! For that
urban-sophisticated look, choose furniture pieces that have clean
lines. Asian-inspired casegood designs feel very much at home with the
more contemporary upholstery styles. Use light colors on the walls as a
backdrop for bright abstract art and colorful blown glass accessory
pieces. Save the bold paint and paper for small unexpected spaces like
bathrooms or ceilings.
Eclectic Interiors has lofty ideas when it comes to furnishing the sophisticated showplace that you desire and deserve. Come in and let us help you define your style!

Eclectic Spotlight: Let's eat!
Let's face it, we
love to eat and we plan all our parties and get-togethers around food.
We want our family and friends to have fun and fill up! The dining room
and breakfast room set the backdrop for most parties and entertaining,
so what do your rooms say about YOU? ANYONE can have the usual dining
set with six matching chairs and absolutely no personality. It's time
to let these rooms be a party in and of themselves!
Go whimsical and add some fun to the
breakfast room with a hand-painted distressed farm table with 6
mix-matched chairs. The hand-painted chairs come in three different
traditional styles. Each style is painted and distressed in a different
bright color that matches the hand painted vines decorating the table
top.
Too perky for you? Then consider the
very sophisticated and clean lined look of this espresso-colored wooden
table with leaf, surrounded by traditional Queen-Anne chairs redefined
in a contemporary metal with brushed finish. This certainly is NOT your
mother's traditional look!
So, next time you want to entertain,
think ECLECTIC! Toss in a bit of bright color and a juxtaposition of
styles and finishes. Just like your guest list, each chair has its own
personality. It makes deciding where to sit a little more interesting!
